[livejournal.com profile] sol_se's Infernal Affairs character study of Inspector Lau in Grey

This is a beautiful portrayal of a tragic and ambitious man who learns too late there are just some choices in life that can be neither undone nor forgiven - just like the trilogy, only condensed into four-and-a-half minutes. Taken into account that [livejournal.com profile] sol_se did intend this vid to be Lau/Yan, it drives further the message that violence begets violence in a vicious circle that neither men can escape, and - to paraphrase what one commenter said - love solves nothing; it only makes the hurt worse when it all inevitably ends.

[livejournal.com profile] capnzebbie's Smallville character study of Lex

I haven't watched SV since Season 3, but I've been scouring the net for all that had happened in the newest episodes... ever since watching this heart-thumping depiction of a Lex Luthor who finally embraces despair and corruption. Lex's voiceover at the beginning makes a perfect counterpoint to all the dark images that follow after: it tells a grand tale of ambition that cloaks a tragedy of vulnerabilities.

vlogkarate's political satire of Poor Man's Hogwarts

This is pure fun and pokes at the Bush administration's support of school vouchers. Good amateur acting, and hilarious script.
